Lower School Library
The Lower School Library is located in Main Hall only steps away from the PreK - 4 classrooms. The Library is a warm and inviting place with a comfortable reading area, creative teaching space, iPads, periodicals and approximately 4,300 books.
Students come to the Library once a week and begin checking out books in Kindergarten. Students are guided to select books that reflect their own personal interests, books that teach them about the world around them and books for pleasure reading. By instilling good reading habits in younger students the goal is that they will become lifelong readers who think critically about the world around them.
To build confidence and narrative skills, students in grades 1 - 4 participate in a readers theater performance each year by grade. Plays are based on works by Shakespeare and Dr. Seuss.
