The curriculum at Saddle River Day School is designed to provide a quality education with the goal of fostering each student's capacity to understand their world. In the Lower School the young child’s curiosity is a guide through an academic course of study that fosters critical thinking and provides a solid foundation of content upon which to build. In Middle School, students continue to build their repertoire of student skills and begin to apply those understandings through the exploration of real world problems that are important to them. In Upper School, all students are enrolled in college preparatory courses as they pursue study of the traditional disciplines of science, math, English, social science, world language and arts. Advanced study is available in all disciplines.
At all levels and in all classes, students are supported to achieve by caring teachers who are well prepared in the course content and in how students learn. Communication between teacher, student and parent is key to the success of SRDS students. Our students succeed because we care about them as individuals and are dedicated to their achievement.
