Parents Guild
Dear Saddle River Day School Families,On behalf of the Parents Guild, it is our honor and privilege to serve as Co - Presidents this year as we welcome you to the 2022-23 Saddle River Day school year!
As we enter the new school year, our greatest goal will always be to focus on our community by engaging families and welcoming new volunteers, so that the Parents Guild can continue to not only support the programs and experiences at SRDS that enrich our children’s lives, but also maintain the wonderful tight-knit community that makes the SRDS experience so special.
As parents and guardians of SRDS students, you are automatically a member of our Parents Guild and we would love your support in any way possible. From attending our meetings and fundraisers, to volunteering, to simply providing positive emotional support, any amount of help, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated! Participating in any of these ways provides a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, have fun and strengthen our school as a whole.
We have so many wonderful and exciting events already on the calendar and we cannot wait to share them with you.
Please join us for a Coffee Social Wednesday, September 7th after drop off in the Courtyard to celebrate the start of an awesome new year with our new and existing families.
PG meetings will be held on the first Thursday of every month; the first one being Thursday, September 8th at 8:30am in the Alford Hall Performing Arts Center (please feel free to come by right after drop off.) The option to attend virtually on Zoom will be available for those community members who cannot attend in person. Pop in to learn about volunteer opportunities, school happenings, and special events.
Join the Parents Guild, Head of School Jalaj Desai, the SRDS Board of Trustees, and Administration Team for a Cocktail Reception for New Parents Thursday, September 22nd at 6:30pm.
Our first school wide kickoff event will be Homecoming on Saturday, October 1st from 12- 4pm. This outdoor celebration is a great way for the entire family to join our community in a social setting.
We are also excited to announce that Ladies Night is already underway and will be held at Seasons, Wednesday, November 9th at 7pm. The night will be filled with fun basket raffles, wine pulls, shopping, prizes and so much more as we raise money to fund enriching programs for our children and the SRDS community. The Parents Guild has many activities and events planned, but we would love to add new and exciting events to our roster, so please share any ideas you think may be enjoyed by all.
On behalf of the SRDS Parents Guild we would once again like to extend a warm welcome and best wishes for a successful school year! Please feel free to contact either of us with any questions or comments. Enjoy the rest of your summer and we’ll see you in September!
Sincerely,
Rosanna Young & Nassdja Anthony
