Parents Guild

Dear Saddle River Day School Families,

On behalf of the Parents Guild, it is our honor and privilege to serve as Co-Presidents and welcome you to the 2024-25 school year at Saddle River Day!

We are so excited to share the many opportunities we have planned this school year that continue to make our community special. As our community continues to evolve, our greatest goal will always be to focus on our advancement by engaging families and welcoming new volunteers to support the extensive programs and experiences at SRDS.

As parents and guardians of SRDS students, you are automatically a member of our Parents Guild and we would love your support in any way possible. The word “volunteer” may seem overwhelming to some, but there are so many ways to get involved. From attending our meetings and fundraisers, to volunteering your time, to simply providing positive emotional support, any amount of help, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated! Participating in any of these ways provides a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, have fun and strengthen our school. We are so proud of what the Parents Guild was able to accomplish last year because of YOUR help, and we hope to continue that momentum into this year. We’ve been working on a fun-filled calendar, and we can’t wait to share all the exciting opportunities with you and your family.

Please join us for our first Parents Guild Meeting on Monday, September 9th in the Alford Hall Performing Arts Center (PAC); meetings will begin at 8:45am unless otherwise announced. Join us right after morning drop off to see friendly faces and make new friends while enjoying fresh baked pastries and coffee every first Thursday of the month because we always have lots of information to share with you including volunteer opportunities, school happenings, student presentations and special events. A zoom link will be available for those community members who cannot attend in person.

Our first school wide kickoff event will be the Homecoming Fall Festival on Saturday, September 28 from 12-4pm. This outdoor gathering is a great way for the entire family to join our community of current and alumni families while celebrating everything SRDS.

We are also excited to announce that the popular Ladies’ Night Out is already underway and will be held at The Tides Estate, Wednesday, November 13 at 7pm. The night will be filled with fun basket raffles, shopping, prizes and so much more as we raise money to fund enriching programs for our children and the SRDS community.

Finally, we are thrilled to announce that our annual school-wide Gala will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at the Rockleigh and will feature dinner, dancing, raffles, and a live auction with a wide variety of amazing items.

On behalf of the SRDS Parents Guild we would once again like to extend a warm welcome and best wishes for a successful school year! Please feel free to contact either of us with any questions or suggestions. Enjoy the rest of your summer and we look forward to seeing you in September!

Sincerely,
Jaqueline Vasquez & Heather Holder
