Music Institute

Starting in the fall of 2021, private music lessons will be offered at Saddle River Day School after school, between the hours of 3:30 and 6:00 pm each school day. The lessons will be taught by accomplished professional musicians who are fine educators.  Weekly private lessons are an invaluable resource for any student who wishes to advance their skills on a musical instrument.  Greater proficiency with an instrument brings greater enjoyment for students, enables them to become leaders in their school music program, and, with sustained commitment, can enhance their college admissions opportunities.

Lessons of thirty, forty-five, and sixty minutes in length will be offered.  The price per lesson is:

  • 30 minute lessons: $60
  • 45 minutes lessons: $84
  • 60 minutes lessons: $108
  • Lower School Strings Class:  $60

The lessons are purchased in packages of ten. (for example, $600 for 10 weekly 30 minute lessons)

For most students, a thirty-minute lesson is the recommended length.  Forty-five and sixty-minute lessons are recommended for older and more serious students.

In addition to the private lessons, we also wish to offer a string instrument class for Lower School students.  This class will take place for one hour after school, once a week.

The details of the lessons schedule will depend on the level of interest in this opportunity.
