After School Programs


New After-School Classes at SRDS starting Tuesday, 1/21 

We are proud to offer new after-school programs for students in Grades PreK - Grade 6. These exciting classes will begin Tuesday, 1/21 and run through Friday, 3/6 (we are closed on Monday, 1/20 for Martin Luther King Day). PLEASE NOTE: some sessions will continue after the March break due to the fact that there are multiple holidays in Jan-Feb on Mondays.
 
Read below for descriptions about our Bootcamps, Drama, Technology, Fencing, and Multi-Sports programs.  Questions about the different programs can be address to Dana Stern (dstern@saddleriverday.org) or Chris Lebovits (clebovits@saddleriverday.org).  
 
Please drop off your check/s to the front office in Main Hall to Ms. O'Hara in an envelope with your child/ren's names clearly indicated and which course offering you will be joining. We ask that all registration/s are completed by 1/18.

Math and Language Arts Bootcamp for Kindergarten - Register by emailing Ms. Danziger and submitting a check for $125 made out to SRDS.
Tuesdays 3:15 pm - 4:00 pm with Ms. Danziger (ddanziger@saddleriverday.org)

Math and Language Arts BootCamp for Grades 1-4 - Register by emailing Ms. Kovoros and submitting a check for $180 for one day, $320 for two days made out to SRDS.
Monday, Tuesday or Both Days 3:15 pm - 4:30 pm with Ms. Kovoros (mkovoros@saddleriverday.org)

Drama Club for Grades K-2 - Register by emailing Ms. VanKampen and submitting a check for $155 made out to SRDS.
Thursdays 3:15 pm - 4:15 pm with Ms. VanKampen (davankampen@saddleriverday.org)

Build a City for Grades PreK-5 - Register by emailing Ms. Hollis and submitting a check for $160 made out to SRDS. What does it take to build a city? Student designers, engineers, city planners, builders, community leaders all come together to design a city/neighborhood using cardboard, recycled objects, 3D printed materials, legos, etc. They may decide to design the official city flag, create a constitution of laws, debate city issues and build city buildings. They will discuss transportation systems, construction, civics and collaboration!
Tuesdays 3:15-4:15 (session ends before Spring break); maximum students = 8; meets in the IDEAS Lab with Ms. Laura Hollis (lhollis@saddleriverday.org) and Ms. Rivers-Xin.
 
Get Virtual for Grades 4-8 - Register by emailing Ms. Hollis and submitting a check for $160 made out to SRDS. Learn how AR (augmented reality) and VR (virtual reality) work, with and without the headset, and then create your own AR and VR experiences using a variety of software and hardware tools. Design your own characters that can move around the room (like Pokemon Go). Immerse yourself in and explore 360-degree worlds, and make your own virtual environments.
Mondays, 3:15 to 4:15 pm (session ends before Spring break); maximum students = 10; meets in the IDEAS Lab with Ms. Laura Hollis  & Mr. Becker

Multi-Sports Classes PK-6 - Register online through Family ID ($155)
Mondays-Thursdays (once a week) depending on grade, 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm.

Fencing for Grades 2-8 - Register online through Family ID ($155) Wednesdays 3:30 - 4:30 pm.
