AUCTION 2010: OPENING NIGHT AT SRDS

The annual Saddle River Day School Auction kicks off at 7:00 pm at the elegant Rockleigh Country Club on Friday, April 9, 2010.  This not-to-be missed event offers an opportunity to support the school while spending a fun-filled and exciting evening with family, friends and members of the SRDS community.

All of the planning and hard work by this year’s auction committee has resulted in an extensive selection of items that guarantees something for everyone.  The silent auction boasts an array of exceptional products, services, and entertainment that includes this year’s “must-have” offering from Apple – the eagerly awaited iPad .as well as four tickets to the Broadway production of The Addams Family starring Bebe Neuwirth and Nathan Lane, dinner for four at one of Bergen County’s favorite restaurants,  Café Panache, a gift card worth $500 at Neiman Marcus and an exciting Go-Karting party for twelve including pizza, soda and racing at Velocity 17 in Maywood.

The live auction features several extraordinary travel packages and once-in-a-lifetime experiences including a 10-day trip to Portugal for four at the Vila Sol Algarve Spa and Resort including round trip airfare and rental car, and a one-night stay at the luxurious Winivian resort in Litchfield, CT with a three-month lease on a Mercedes SL550.  The special America’s Cup Stars and Stripes package for four includes a 2-hour sailing trip with Denise and Dennis  O’Conner on the Stars and Stripes, their 80-foot racing yacht, with airfare to California and 4-night stay at a hotel included.  Music lovers can bid on two bronze level tickets to the Grammy Awards with entry to a star-studded after party, including round trip airfare and three nights hotel accommodations.
