Dear Middle and Upper School Parents,

            As you are aware from the school calendar, we will be holding Parent/Teacher conferences Friday Oct. 19th.  Faculty members will be asked to call or e-mail you requesting a conference if your child is working at the C- level or below (B- or below in honors or AP courses).  They might also have other issues or concerns to discuss. You also can request conferences since this is also your opportunity to meet your child’s teacher in a private setting and discuss individual concerns.

We will again use the call-in system that was implemented six years ago. When you call the school in response to this letter, we will set up the appointment times and give you the locations of the teachers on the phone.  By making these appointments directly on the phone, we will try to arrange the most convenient time for you to meet with each specific teacher. 

   Below, you will see listed specific days and times to call and set up conference appointments.  This should help to limit the overload of many people calling at the same time.  We have found this to be a logical and equitable process, in that it gives all parents the same opportunity to set up these meetings.    If you cannot call during the specific grade times, please try to call during the periods labeled “open”.  Those who call earliest during the prescribed times will have the best opportunity to pick the times of their choice.  This is especially the case for Middle School parents because there is always a great demand to visit those teachers!  Please be patient with this system, since many parents will be calling at the same approximate times.  I will take the message and call you back as soon as possible.  My phone extension at school is 1107.  We look forward to meeting you on October 19th.
