Beginning this summer for the 2007-2008 school year, SRDS will be changing the procedure for the purchase and distribution of textbooks for grades K –12.  We have engaged Myschoolbookstore, a subsidiary of Flannery Company, our current textbook provider, to provide online textbook services to Saddle River Day School families. Our goal is to simplify the purchasing process and make buying textbooks for the school year more convenient for you.  You will now purchase textbooks online or call a toll free number (866) 619-4133 and have books shipped directly to your home. This service will also provide you with the option to purchase new and/or used textbooks plus an opportunity to sell your books back to the company through a buy-back program.  You will have several payment options: check, money order or major credit card.  The above phone number also serves as a help-line to guide you through the process. 

The website for purchasing next year’s books will be www.myschoolbookstore.com which is directly linked to the SRDS website. Starting in July, the online bookstore will be open 24 hours every day.  Your class schedules for the next school year will be mailed to you at the end of June and will help to guide you through the purchasing process.  To purchase textbooks, you will go to the SRDS website, click on the Parents tab and then click on Book Ordering. We have tried to make the process quick and simple. A special discount period applies for purchasing books from July 12 to July 18.  

Book Buy-Back Procedure 

In the closing days of the 2008 spring semester and beginning this June, students will have the opportunity to sell their used books to www.myschoolbookstore.com.  Credit from the buy-back will be applied to individual student accounts.  Seniors and non-returning students will be mailed a check directly from the online company.  We encourage all students, who do not plan to keep their books, to sell them back in an effort to reduce their textbook costs. The book company will forward more information regarding this program and a book buy-back list that will be available in the business office.
