Due to scheduling complications with Memorial Day weekend at the Antietam National Park, we now plan to have our trip in early October (Oct 3rd-4th).  An additional advantage of this time of year will be to nearly simulate the time (Sept. 17, 1862) when the actual battle was fought, yet still avoid the SRDS Homecoming and Alumni Weekend.  I still envision the trip as a "family adventure" with a canoe trip up Antietam Creek.  Hopefully, there will be a greater opportunity for those families who also had conflicts with Memorial Day Weekend.  The trip will be open to SRDS families of at least one parent and one child.  Please let me know at school if you would have an interest in these new dates.
