It is a pleasure to announce that the Student Council
will again be sponsoring a line of clothing with the SRDS letters
proudly displayed. Student Council members have put a good deal of
thought into this effort to offer clothing that is useful as well as
sharp looking! Changes from last year include several new items, a more
popular style of lettering and the use of red as the border color of
the letters. We hope that this effort will meet with support from the
Saddle River Day School community.
The Executive Committee of the Student Council has made a decision to
keep the prices of the items as low as possible to encourage greater
sales and popularity. Funds raised will go to support Student Council
and worthy school-wide activities. An example is the beautiful trophy
case in the Senior Commons, which was purchased with Student Council
funds in the spring of 2007. We sincerely hope that the new SRDS
clothing items are well received and that this year’s effort will
lead to additional opportunities in the near future. Please read the
attached forms for ordering the clothing items and athletic team
jackets. Due to the nature of this effort, all orders must be prepaid,
with checks made out to Saddle River Day School and the notation to
read, “Student Council Clothing”. Envelopes containing the
completed order forms and checks should be returned to Mr. Strager at
the School.
Our plan is to have all order forms completed and returned to school by
Monday February 4th. If we meet this deadline, we should have the
clothing before the end of February. If this is successful, an
additional opportunity will be planned for later in the school year.
