Middle School Earth Awareness 2006

Overview

Humans share the Earth with over one and a half million species of living organisms. Through their actions, humans adapt environments to suit their needs more than any other species. The extinction of a single species of bacteria might not cause distress for any of us, but it could be a sign of future change that would affect all of our lives. We have a responsibility to ourselves and the planet to make sure that we conserve and maintain the Earth.

Our Goal: To raise environmental awareness among members of the Middle School community.

Our Method: Through individual research and observations, middle school students gather information that will be pooled together by advisory groupings. This information will be processed in those groups and shared with the Middle School in an assembly and displayed for all SRDS students to see.

Each grade level has an environmental area of focus.
